ハッピーエンド症候群 the hero and heroine

r366-c007-2
人生は,ヒーローとヒロインが,信じられないような不運(逆境)を乗り越え,最後にはハッピーエンドで報われる,といったメロドラマの類推で思い描かれるべきではない.
Life is not to be conceived on the analogy of a melodrama in which the hero and heroine go through incredible misfortunes for which they are compensated by a happy ending.
From: The Conquest of Happiness, 1930, chap.2:The Byronic unhappiness.

  1. First of all I would like to say awesome blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing. I have had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Thank you!
