【"deteriorate"：この３つの中では最も包括的な言葉で，単に以前の状態より質が低下したことを言う。】
【"degenerate"："genus"(品種)の本来の性質が他の劣ったものに変質することで，単に品質が貧弱になるというよりは，道徳的に堕落する意を含むことが多い。】
【"degrade"：人間でも物でも価値が下がること。】

(1-1) His health is clearly deteriorating.

(1-2) They have to share a considerable part of the blame for the deterioration of the relationship.
