【"repent"："regret"と違い、"repent"は後悔が本人のことに限られている。"repent"は宗教的色彩が強い言葉で、自分の犯した罪を悔いる念に焦点がある。】
(1-1) Deeply regret the passage of your mother.
[（弔文）母上のご逝去を心より悼む。（この場合の"regret"は「後悔」ではない。）]
