【"protect"：外部からの破壊や驚異から対象を守り、保全を助けることを意味する言葉で、一般的かつ広範囲に使われる。】
【"shield"：中世の騎士が楯をかざすように、危険にさらされた者と加害者の間に立ちはだかり（遮断し）、対象者を救うことであり、直接的で緊急性がある。】
