【"assent"：「そうですね」といったくらいの軽い同意】
【"agree"："assent"よりも具体性と積極性を持った同意。"agree to" は「事柄」に，"agree with"は「人」及び「事柄」に，"agree on"は「一般的な方針」などに同意】
【"consent"："give permission"（許可,承諾）の意味を持った，上から下への同意】

(1-1) She assented to the doctor's remark that she was very ill but she refused to be hospitalized.
[彼女は，医者があなたはひどく健康を損ねていると言ったことは肯定したが，入院は断った。]
(1-2) He assented to his wife's plans for vacation but he did not do anything about it.
