　けれども,世界の多くの地域の多くの人々が我々を支援してくれた。特に,様々の国々の芸術家達,即ち画家,彫刻家,音楽家達は寛大であった。実際,我々の最初の資金調達事業の一つは,芸術家達が提供してくれた画や彫刻を売る美術品販売であり,ベッドフォード公爵のご好意により,ウォバーン・アビー(ラッセル家本家のベッドフォード公爵邸)で開催された。私はそのセールの開会日には参加できなかったが,少し後から出かけて行った。ウォバーンに到着すると,面白いことに,同じ日に,ミス・ワールド（注：1962年開催）を受賞した美女達がウォバーンに招待されもてなされており,私は彼女達に会う特権を享受した。

However, many people in many parts of the world helped us. Artists - painters and sculptors and musicians - of different countries have been especially generous. Indeed, one of our first money-raising ventures was an art sale of their paintings and sculpture given by the artists, which took place, through the kindness of the Duke of Bedford, at Woburn Abbey. I could not attend the opening of the sale, but I went some time later, arriving, to my amusement, on the same day that the Miss World beauties were being entertained at Woburn and I was privileged to meet them.

　現在はネットにありとあらゆる情報が（主に英語で）掲載されています。そうは言っても、検索能力やいろいろな知識がないとそういった情報もゲットできません。
　1962年のミス・ワールド受賞者達がWoburn Abbey に招待された時の画像もあるのではないかと思い検索してみたところ、添付画像のように、いろいろありました。
