＜寸言＞
毎日新しい知り合いができても、生涯のうちで「親しくなる」人は1,000人以上になることはありません。人に会うのが「商売」の人は、毎日30人、年間で約１万人くらい新しい人と会うでしょうが、そのうちで親しくなるのはごくわずかと思われます。
ただし、そうは言っても、政治家にとっては、できるだけ多くの人に顔を売るのが仕事であり、一番重要な仕事だと言えるかも知れません。
