女性によって影響を受けることを怖れる男性が多いが,私の経験による限りでは,これは'ばかげた怖れ'である。肉体的と同様に精神的にも,男は女を必要とし女は男を必要とする,と私には,思われる。自分のことをいえば,私はかつて愛した女性たちのおかげを非常に受けており,彼女たちがいなければ,私は今よりもずっと狭量な人間になっていたであろう。(出典： ラッセル『自伝』第１巻第７章「再びケンブリッジ大学へ」Many men are afraid of being influenced by women, but as far as my experience goes, this is a foolish fear.
