【"vogue"：短期間の「一時的な流行」。】
【"fashion"：「作ること」「なすこと」を意味するラテン語「factio」に由来する言葉で、"vogue"よりも人気の上がり下がりがゆったりした「流行」を言い、必ずしも時期に左右されない。】

(1-1) That's the young comedian who became a vogue after one lucky break in TV commercials.
[あれがテレビＣＭのラッキーな一発でたちまち流行児（はやりっこ）になった若いコメディアンだ。]

(1-2) Short skirts and short hair are out of vogue now.
[短いスカートと短い髪型は流行遅れだ。]
