【"dangerous"：要注意の事態を表す一般語で，危険ではあっても緊急性はない。】
【"perilous"：危機的状態が迫っていることを表す言葉。ただし，"perilous"よりも "at one's preil" や "in peril" というフレーズを多く使う。】

(1)The man was arrested for possession of dangerous drug.
「その男は危険な薬物所持で捕まった。]

(2-1) Any presidential candidate will ignore it at his peril".
[そのことを無視してかかる大統領選候補は，落選の憂き目を見ること必定だ。]

(2-2) When a mine caves in, the miners are in peril.
[落盤があれば，鉱夫には致命的だ。（cave in 落盤する）]
