"gap": 平面的な間隙（かんげき）で、ある基準があってそれに達していないか、または当然あるべきものが欠けていて穴があいている状態
　* "technology gap" :テクノロジーの程度の差
"gulf": 立体的な深さをもった間隙
　* "the gulf between rich and poor"：両者（富裕層と貧困層）の間に横たわる深い溝
