バートランド・ラッセルの名言・警句( Bertrand Russell Quotes )

I do not doubt Professor Haldane's word when he says that "an active ideal of truth, justice, charity, and beauty" is always present to him ; I am sure it must be so, since he asserts it. But when it comes to attributing this extraordinary degree of virtue to mankind in general, I feel that I have as good a right to my opinion as he has to his. I find, for my part, untruth, injustice, uncharitableness and ugliness pursued, not only in fact, but as ideals.
