We all like to effect something, but so far as the love of power is concerned we do not care what we effect. Broadly speaking, the more difficult the achievement the more it pleases us. Men like fly-fishing, because it is difficult ; they will not shoot a bird sitting, because it is easy.

a brief comment
Donald Trump and Sanae Takaichi have several similarities, except for their gender. Both love to stand out and exercise power, and both have worked as TV personalities in the past. Moreover, they both have rich and colorful careers and never fail to attract public attention.
Of course, there are many differences between them. Trump is criticized for lacking consistency in his statements, often contradicting himself or acting in ways that do not match his words. As the leader of a superpower, he is able to impose demands on smaller countries and those that follow the U.S.
On the other hand, Sanae Takaichi has a very diverse academic background and career, and it is clear that she is more intellectually capable than Trump. However, she has just become the president of the Liberal Democratic Party, and with her path to becoming prime minister widely regarded as certain, her current statements are emotional and lack substantial content at the moment.
Power is a "double-edged sword." Even if one wants to achieve something, without power, one cannot make things happen, whether good or bad, in society. The troublesome aspect of those in power is that, as their power increases, they often begin to take pleasure not just in achieving good things, but in wielding power itself. There is a famous quote by Lord Acton: "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
It is still uncertain how much Sanae Takaichi will be able to demonstrate her true worth as prime minister, which makes it an intriguing question.
