★ reflect (v) [(物体・表面などが,光・熱などを)反射する；（鏡などが像を）映す；（・・・を）反映する,表す；（名誉・不名誉などを結果として）招く,もたらす；（・・・ちうことを）熟考する,思案する

* 『東大英単』p.57の説明：「反射する」という意味の他に,「熟考する」という意味がある。同様に,reflective は「（光などを）反射する性質を持つ」という意味の他に,「思慮深い」という意味がある。
