虚栄心の厄介なこと
虚栄心の厄介なことの一つは,虚栄心がエサとするもの（を食べる）とともに虚栄心も成長して大きくなるということである。話題にされればされるほど,ますます話題にされたがる。One of the troubles about vanity is that it grows with what it feeds on. The more you are talked about, the more you will wish to be talked about.
