衣食住に対する欲求には限界がある。どんなにおいしいものでも、いつまでも食べ続けることはできず、ある程度以上になればもう食べたくなくなる。着るものも食べるものも同様である。誰も100万平方メートルの住宅に住みたいとは思わない。火事の危険が高まり、おちおち寝ていられなくなる。
