Open-mindedness is a quality which will always exist where desire for knowledge is genuine. It only fails where other desires have become entangled with the belief that we already know the truth.

* a brief comment:
When it comes to children's education, there seems to be little disagreement on the importance of fostering qualities such as a "broad mind," "compassion," and "open-mindedness." Furthermore, in the classroom, various individuals who embody open-mindedness are likely introduced. Or, perhaps paradoxically, it might be more effective to present someone like Trump as a negative example?someone not to emulate. However, if such a statement were made in class, the Ministry of Education might intervene, labeling it as "biased education."
What do you think about the sentence from today's "Words of Russell":
"The quality of open-mindedness is always present when the desire for knowledge is genuine. It only fails when other desires become entangled with the belief that one already knows the truth."
As for me, the first thing that came to mind was Mr. Trump, who is always focused on winning deals.
