After the war, he became leader writer on Investor's Chronicle, but in the early twenties, abondoned financial journalism for fiction. In 1935 published 'The Idea in Fiction', a study in the construction of fiction. Editor Grand Maganize, 1927-1939. Now (= in 1949) edits weekly trade and technical journal.
