幸福を感じやすい科学者
高度な教育を受けた社会構成員のなかで、今日最も幸福なのは、科学者である。科学者のなかで最も著名な人たちの大部分は、情緒的には単純で、従事している仕事から深い満足を得ているので、食べることから、また結婚からさえ、快楽を得ることができるほどである（注：半分冗談ですよ）。（出典： ラッセル『幸福論』第10章「幸福はいまでも可能か？」）Of the more highly educated sections of the community, the happiest in the present day are the men of science. Many of the most eminent of them are emotionally simple, and obtain from their work a satisfaction so profound that they can derive pleasure from eating and even marrying.
