    　ヴイトゲンシュタインの後期の仕事は、言語学の些細な箇所のまわりをぐるぐるさまよっている感じで、数カ国語に通じる人には、いたってつまらない事柄に心を奪われているので恐ろしく失望する。

    　哲学用語の問題について、口語体言語からある程度離れることは、哲学者が現在よりももっと明確に思考するのに役立つ、と私は今でも考えている。哲学者たちが欠陥だらけの言語の奴隷であることを見落している。
    (As regards the question of a philosophical language, I still think that some departures from collquial language would help philosophers to think more clearly than they do.)

    　単語を最小限度にする意味で、哲学用語という考えが重要かも知れないと思う。

    　私がこういう考えに到達して長年になるが、ゲィトゲンシュタインの大きな影響を受けたからだとは思わない。
    (It is a long time since I came to these opinions and I do not think that they were much influenced by Wittgenstein.
