* 因みに，低価格で泊まれる宿である ペンション（pension フランス語）は､「年金生活者が自宅の空部屋を学生寮や下宿式のホテルにしたもの」とのことであるが、日本では、「西洋風の小さい田舎のホテルあるいは民宿」といった意味で使われている。
